Glow Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, to rescue widows in Nigeria from oppression, desperation and untold hardship, has been launched in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
According to the founder of Glow Foundation, Mrs Elizabeth Ibitoye, the organisation “shall strive hard to earn widows respect and dignity, and also protect and preserve their rights in the society, through advocacy.”
Ibitoye added that “Molestation of widows under the guise of tradition shall be fought squarely within the ambit of the law, while Glow Foundation will not lose focus on empowering widows through skills acquisition and vocational training.
“With the support of our partners, we shall cater for the welfare of widows by donating generously, essential materials.”
