Apple, as usual, sent the tech world into a frenzy on Wednesday, September 8, when it announced its latest iPhone 14 series.

The phone types in the series are iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. It is crucial you know some of its new features before buying one.

1. Always-on display. For the first time in iPhone history, Apple introduced the Always-On Display. It is on the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, CNET reports.

With this new feature, users can check time and messages without always having to double-tap their screens when the main screen is asleep. This feature has been available on Android devices for years.

2. According to Tech Advisor, the iPhone 14 does away with the traditional screen design that has a notch and instead uses a circular cutout in a pill shape.

iPhone 14 Pro release date

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available to pre-order now in many regions, including the US, UK, France, and Spain. They will ship and go on sale on 16 September. In some other regions, they will be available from 23 September.
