After weeks of intrigue, the 2022 edition of the popular Big Brother Naija reality TV show ended on Sunday night, with Phyna declared the winner.
The top two finalists from the 10-week show were Phyna and Bryan.
Biggie said in his last address to the final two contestants, “The world now awaits you. You may now leave the Big Brother house.”
Phyna, who won the show, will walk home with a N100m grand prize—a cash prize of N50m and N50m worth of prizes from the sponsors.
In addition, 30 fans of the show won N1m each in the ‘Fave Lock-In’ promo, which was exclusive to DStv and GOtv customers.
Earlier, four housemates were evicted from the final six contestants.
The evicted housemates including Daniella, Chichi, Adekunle, and Bella were evicted from the reality TV show on Sunday, the final day of the competition.
Also, the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, paid tribute to all the housemates moments before the commencement of the live eviction.
Ebuka who showed up in a suit with all the faces of the Level-up season housemates on it, said, “A tribute to the #BBNaija Level Up housemates as we wind down a most eventful season. It’s finale time.”
For this season, the 24 housemates were placed in two houses. The first 12 were placed in the Level Two house, while the second 12, introduced on Sunday, were placed in the Level One house.
The Big Brother Naija season 7, tagged ‘Level Up’, was officially launched with 12 housemates.
The second set of housemates was welcomed into the house during day two of the launch event.
In a new twist this year, the second set of housemates was placed in a separate house, different from the first 12 housemates.
The first 12 contestants occupied the Level Two house, while the latest 12 occupied the Level One house.
