The awards-winning CEO of Ripples Catering and Events, Eunice Olaseeke Adeoye, paid a surprise visit to the Chairman/Group Managing Director of Ilaji Group of Companies and Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Resorts, Akanran, Ibadan, Engineer Dotun Sanusi, on the occasion of his birthday celebration yesterday.

The event started around 8:30 a.m. at the celebrant’s hotel in Ilaji. The entourage that followed the Ripples boss included the brigade’s band and the famous Ijala singer Sakirat Adenike Balogun, popularly called Apinke Ajobata.

Eunice Olaseeke Adeoye, in her congratulatory message to the celebrant, lauded him for his continual support of Ripples Catering and Events as the organisation’s patron.

Ripple’s boss noted that age comes with new challenges and greater responsibilities.  Therefore, she prayed to God Almighty to continually grant Engineer Sanusi “unending mercy, wellness, prosperity, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding”.

However, she thanked Sanusi for his constant support of humanity, urging other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the spirit of the magnanimity of the Ilaji boss so that society would become a good place to live.

Engineer Sanusi’ who responded through the chief operating officer of Ilaji Hotel and Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye, thanked Adeoye for celebrating his boss, stating that his boss did not celebrate as he mourns his friend, Major General Muraina, who died recently.

However, he appreciated the kind gesture of the Ripples boss, who surprised him with a birthday visit.

From the hotel, the visitors followed the celebrant to the field, where the celebrant’s wife, Deaconess Sanusi, presented the trophy to the winners to end the special people’s sports competition held at Ilaji Resort.

From Ilaji Resort, they also followed the celebrant to commission the school he built for the less privileged, “Network For Inclusion of People With Special Needs (NIPSN), located at Ariori Village, behind Anglican Grammar School, Ojebode, Akanran Road in Ibadan.

What really amazed guests at the occasion was the humility the celebrant displayed despite his wealth. He led all his guests who came to celebrate with him to the school in a tricycle (Keke napep) for the unveiling.

At the venue, the opening prayer was said by one of the celebrant’s friends, Abib Olatoye, while cutting the cake was performed by his wife, Mrs Olatoye.

Apinke Ajobata, the Final Call Brigade Band, and Irawo Ede all did a wonderful job entertaining guests at the occasion.

Funmi Ilesanmi and Omo Ologo compered the event.
