A middle-aged man simply identified as Ramon Mustapha lost his life in a ghastly motor accident in Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde’s convoy.
The accident, it was learnt, occurred at about 1.30pm on Tuesday, while Governor Makinde was returning from Saki where he had gone to campaign for his second term bid.
It was a gory sight at the scene of the ghastly auto accident as eyewitnesses expressed shock over the unfortunate incident and prayed for the life of the Governor.
Many who witnessed the scene, according to a source, wept uncontrollably over the loss of the driver, who they described as humble, respectful and very dutiful.
The victim of the auto crash died, having his head smashed by the ill-fated car which was said to have somersaulted several times.
It was gathered that three others also sustained severe injuries in the accident.
The injured were rushed to a near by medical facility for medical attention, the source added.
The deceased have been buried at his home in Amuloko, Ibadan on Wednesday (today) according to Islamic rites.
Thank God for the lives of the survivors.
