The Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen in Islam worldwide, Prof Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, has called on the government at all levels to re-establish library centres in all wards for meaningful engagement of the youth and reintroduce information storage into the school curriculum to inculcate the habit of information storage in the youths who are the future hope of the country.
Prof Olagoke, also the Mogaji of Ogun Elu, Aare Alaasa Dynasty, disclosed this recently while commissioning the library he sponsored for the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.
While speaking on the occasion, Prof. Olagoke, a former Dean of the School of Engineering, The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, stated that the library’s importance is in storage, retrieval, and research. This will enhance the reading culture and allow readers to tap into the accumulated knowledge and wealth of experience of Authors, Achievers, and Professionals from various disciplines.
Prof. Olagoke added that the reintroduction of libraries is vital in society and will enable the youth to engage meaningfully. He cited how he met his wife and life partner in a library at Mapo, Ibadan, in 1973. The academician per excellence noted that conventional libraries were structured according to the process lines of Manual Automation and Computer-Aided Design Concepts.
He maintained that the library is a better way of storing information for the next generation and vital for Intellectual Development and Research.

The erudite scholar and renown religious leader Prof. S.A. Olagoke JP promised to upgrade the library being commissioned to a Virtual pedigree in 2023, Inshah Allah.
Speaking during the event, which marks the celebration of BCOS NUJ press week, the chairman of the occasion, Ambassador Yemi Farounbi, admonished on having trained librarians in stock taking, indexing for ease of reference, inventory, and user guidance to prevent mutilation, vandalisation, and all forms of abuse because the dynamics of the library will make it the heart and powerhouse of the Corporation.
In his response, the corporation’s General Manager, pastor Tunde Ajayi, pledged to ensure compliance in the library’s use while thanking the donor, Prof. Olagoke, who was later awarded a lifetime Patronship of the NUJ BCOS Chapel of the Corporation.
