Oyo NUJ Holds Last Congress/End of The Year Party

The last congress of the year of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, was held along with the end-of-the-year party on Friday, 30th of December, 2022, at the Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan, with the opening prayer by the Secretary, National Association of Nigeria Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State Council, Mrs Stella Oyebamiji of FRCN.

In his welcome address, the Oyo NUJ Chairman, Comrade Ademola Babalola, thanked the Almighty God for the grace He gave to all the members from the beginning of 2022 until the end of the year.

During the congress, important issues were discussed, as well as the way forward for the union and the country. To conclude the meeting, the former Chairperson of Oyo NAWOJ, Pastor (Mrs) Adekiitan Adeagbo, and Chairman of the State Information Chapel, Fasasi Ismail, said the closing prayers.

With the celebration moving properly, the Secretary, Oyo NUJ, Sola Oladapo, the musician on the bandstand, thrilled the members present to the fullest.

The union members, who could not hide their joy, lauded the executives led by Comrade Babalola for the laudable achievements recorded since their assumption of office.
