On Monday, the Oyo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) decorated six newly promoted Deputy Corps Commanders (DCCs) and 48 other promoted officers to various positions in the state.

The newly decorated officers are the Sector Head of Driver’s Licence Centre, Ibadan Main Centre, Onireke, Ademola Samson Dairo, as Chief Route Commander (CRC).

In his remarks, Joshua Adekanye, the FRSC Sector Commander in Oyo State, said that 140 FRSC personnel were recently promoted by FRSC management to various ranks in the state.

Adekanye listed the new ranks as one Corps Commander, six Deputy Corps Commanders, two Assistant Corps Commanders, 17 Chief Route Commanders, 45 Superintendent Route Commanders, 31 Route Commanders and 38 Deputy Route Commanders.

The Sector Commander called on the newly promoted personnel to be more dedicated and committed to duty to justify their promotions.

He said that promotion comes from God and the exercise was also part of FRSC management’s drive toward rewarding excellence, selflessness and hard work.

Adekanye further urged the officers to continue to put in their best in their duty, adding that the new ranks call for more focus and passion in discharging their humanitarian service to the motoring public.

Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CRC Ademola Samson Dairo thanked God for the promotion and charged younger officers not to lose hope, noting that theirs would come at their appropriate time.

“No one can receive anything except God releases it. It pleases the gracious God to appropriately move me from one rank to a higher one. As Chief Route Commander, I’m the Sector Head of Driver’s Licence Centres in Oyo State. Presently in charge of Ibadan Main Driver’s License Centre, Onireke, Ibadan.”

He reiterated the commitment of the promoted officers to redoubling their efforts in discharging their duty for the success of the FRSC and Nigeria in general.
