It was indeed a great time in the presence of the Lord for the fast-rising radio station Yes FM, staff, well-wishers, and prominent gospel singers gathered at the Holy Church Of En Hakore, Felele, Ibadan, in Oyo State to celebrate the first anniversary of the establishment of Yes 101.7 FM with the theme, “Praise me.’

In his welcome address, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Of 101.7 Yes FM, Mr Kayode Joseph, said it is only God that has made the establishment of 101.7 Yes FM possible, adding that when He says Yes, no man can say No.

The Presiding Pastor of Holy Church of En HAkore, Felele, Bola Oyediran who was also the preacher, said the only thing acceptable to God In terms of celebration is praise and thanksgiving.

Dignitaries in their goodwill messages, thanked God and expressed joy at the celebration while charging the management and staff to put more efforts in developing the station to greater height.

The Chief Executive Officer of 101.7 Yes FM who is also the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Yemi Sonde Media Group, Mr Yemi Sonde, was full of excitement and happiness saying, “Yes FM waited for 14 years before its establishment.”

He then appreciated all well-wishers, fans and staff of Yes FM family for their support, commitment and dedication to work.

The event witnessed notable gospel musicians such as Mama Bola Are; Mama Fasonyi ( Odun nlo sopin); Apostle Yinka James popularly called (Adonai), Evangelist Folasade Taiwo; Evangelist Kemi Oyediran popularly called Kemi Rehoboth and Ajidara.

Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service include the famous actor and broadcaster, Yemi Sodimu; former National President FIBAN, Ambrose Somide; Consoligbadun; former Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan, Bolatito Joseph; Bisi Voice; Sigoa; Feranmi Babalola; Chairman Oyo FIBAN, Comrade Seun Awodele, and host of others.
