The former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Senator Godwin Akpabio, has emerged as the President of the 10th National Assembly in Nigeria.
Akpabio polled 63 votes to defeat Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, who scored 46 votes in the election that occurred in the Red Chamber in Abuja.
He was sworn in at precisely 09:44am.
