Friday, June 16, 2023, will continue to linger in the memories of all the traditional rulers in Remoland. The paramount ruler of Remoland and Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, gathered all the royal fathers within Remoland to discuss how to develop and move Remoland forward with the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, while speaking at the Traditional Council Retreat he organised and held at Nandas Hotel, Sagamu, lauded Governor Abiodun for honouring his invitation.

He said, “It is a thing of joy that royal fathers in Remoland are sitting down with their son and the Governor of Ògùn State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the issue of the development of Remoland. Education is the key in Remoland, and we urge the governor to support us in succeeding in this direction.”

Oba Ajayi stated that the retreat’s opening ceremony was on Tuesday, June 13. Asiwaju of Remoland was in attendance to deliver the welcome address and establish an endowment fund he and other royal fathers in Remoland had established.

In his remarks, Governor Abiodun commended Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi for the good initiatives, stating that what the royal fathers did, no royal father in other states has done and was very sure that they would follow suit.

He added that he believed in the royal fathers because they were very close to the grassroots and came to identify with them, thanking them for the support they wanted to give the government to move Remoland forward. Some of the royal fathers, who spoke with REPORTERS AT LARGE, thanked the governor for assuring that there would be an improvement in the development of the area based on what they discussed while lauding the Akarigbo of Remoland for the initiatives and prayed for long life for him.

Thereafter, all the royal fathers wined with Akarigbo of Remoland and the award-winning caterer, Eunice Olaseeke Adeoye of Ripples Catering and Events, who served them good food.

Some royal fathers gave kudos to the award-winning caterer for the good and quality food supplied with good-branded staff who attended to the royal fathers decently and maturely.

The event hall of Nandas Hotel was packed with all the royal fathers in Remoland, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his entourage, movers and shakers, political high chiefs in Ogun State, and many other dignitaries.

Nandas Hotel is located in an accessible area of Sagamu off Akarigbo, Sabo, Ikorodu Road and less than 10 minutes drive from the Sagamu junction expressway and about 40 minutes from the Lagos-Ibadan toll gate as one drives out of Lagos.

Music was supplied by the popular juju hip-hop artist Bishop Samson Musical, who thrilled Oba Babatunde Ajayi and other dignitaries present at the occasion and was supported by Ronke Starlight.
