The House of Friendship (HOF) Club, of which the notable actor, Dr. Akintola Abdulrasaq Lewis, is a member and President, has celebrated his 50 years on stage.
The event was held at his residence in Ibadan on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
The thespian, in his remarks, while appreciating all those who were present at the occasion, said it was the grace of God that made him who he is today.
Lewis then dedicated the award presented to him by the House of Friendship Club to his wife, children and fans, stating that he was proud to have overcome the challenges that came his way as “Oju eni ma la a ri you.
Some club members, Kayode Kolawole and Remi Aderibigbe, celebrated their 70 and 71-year birthdays, respectively, while Dr Samson Ogun Aluko celebrated his achievement alongside Dr Akintola Lewis.
Thereafter, Mrs Abosede Julius, a House of Friendship Club member based in the United States of America, who Mrs Makinde Abiola represented, donated a gift to the club.
All the celebrants, as well as the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Sunday Aboriomoh and members of the club could not hide their feelings as they expressed their gratitude to God and lauded the House of Friendship Club for organising such a fantastic event for members and prayed for the club to wax stronger and continue to be celebrating each one of them.
