The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), is set to unveil 2geda, Nigeria’s first business social media platform.
The platform’s official launch is on Wednesday, August 9, in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Addressing newsmen in Ibadan on Monday, the project’s co-owner, Emeka Eze, said the project is pivotal to redefining and globally bringing Nigeria to the forefront of technology.
He said, “We are pleased to do this project with our referred monarch, to partner with our Imperial Majesty, Oba Ogunwusi, on this 2geda. It is a social media platform and a business-listing platform that allows users to enlist their businesses within niche-based categories. It is the first indigenous digital platform, combining social and business networking and promotions.
“Unlike other social media platforms, which only focus on social interactions and networking, 2geda provides established and upcoming business organisations the platform to interact with existing and potential clients and network for possible opportunities,” Eze stressed.
He expressed optimism that both local and global users would find the platform, which has been completely developed for use, more fulfilling and beneficial for their social and business networking quests.
Eze guaranteed the safety of users’ personal data and information, saying, “The security layers on 2geda are carefully and professionally developed to protect users’ personal information and data, and suffice it to say that we have one of the strongest database security globally.”
Eze further revealed that the business social media platform combines social and business networking, is poised to leverage technology to position Nigerian businesses globally for better visibility and profitability. The platform is now on the App Store and Play Store.”
