The wives’ names are Mariam, Madinah, Aisha, Zainabu, Fatuma, Rashida, and Musanyusa, who is said to be his first wife and has been with him for seven years.

It was reported that exchanging the marital vows, Nsikonnene and his seven wives held a big procession led by bodaboda cyclists through the towns of Kalagi, Kasana, and Nakifuma before arriving at their home at 6 pm the day.

The wedding ceremony started with a concert as the couples moved in a convoy amidst applause from people lined up on the roadsides to witness the ceremony.

Some people could not believe that this was real. Some said that this was their first time witnessing such a historical event and did not think that in their lives, they would again see another man like Habib doing a similar event.

At the reception, the brides, Aisha, Aisha, Fatuma, Sharifah, Rashida, Mariam, and Zainab found their seats prepared, each labelled with their names.

According to the report, Nsikonnene bought brand new cars as presents for each of them, with each of them having their cars labelled with their names.

In his speech at the reception, he commended his wives for being loyal to him, saying, “My wives harbour no jealousy amongst themselves. I introduced them separately and decided to wed them all at once to make one big happy family. I am still a young man, and shortly, God willing, I cannot say that this is the end of it.”

“I introduced them separately and decided to wed them all at once to make one big happy family,” he noted

The groom’s father, Hajj Abdul Ssemakula noted that polygamy has been the practice in this family adding that his grandfather had six wives who were separated by curtains in a single house.

“My late father had 5 wives and I have four wives who live in one house,” he said.

It is said that Habib broke the record of marrying many wives in Uganda at once.

The record he broke is for a one Ssemanda who in 2019 married three wives in one ceremony.
