The Oyo State House of Assembly has extended its warmest and heartfelt congratulations to Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, the Speaker of the House, on his emergence as the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
In a release signed by the Clerk of the House, Pastor Mrs Yetunde Oludara Awe, the number one lawmaker in the Pace Setter State, was described as a record-breaker who has triumphed in the contest and won diligently due to his pool of experience and contribution to legislative business.
Congratulating the Speaker on behalf of the management and all members of staff of the Legislative Arm, the Clerk noted that the victory is well deserved because of Rt Hon. Ogundoyin’s disposition to entrench democracy in Nigeria.
According to the statement, “Your wealth of experience, leadership qualities, and commitment to Nigeria’s legislative business and development give you the footing to stand out. Your emergence also speaks to the respect you enjoy among your colleagues nationwide.”
The statement revealed further that Ogundoyin’s emergence has proven the pace-setting status of the Oyo State House of Assembly in overwhelming bill passages, motions and resolutions, and oversight functions, as demonstrated in the achievements of the 9th Assembly. The 10th Assembly will surpass this feat.
The release added that the management and entire staff members appreciate God for blessing a young, vibrant and experienced Speaker who has used his zeal to transform legislative activities in the State.
