A former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has said that the feat attained by the former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre will serve as an impetus for younger people, especially those who have given up to pursue their dreams.
Hon. Ige who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland stated in a congratulatory message he made to felicitate Ojo-Lanre on his call to Bar on Wednesday.
He said that Ojo-Lanre’s achievement is a testament to the fact that with determination and a dint of hard work, there is nothing that anyone cannot achieve in life.
According to him, “I am very much delighted to rejoice, felicitate and congratulate my dear brother and friend, Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre on his recent achievement as he was called to the Nigerian bar as a Barrister and Solicitor. This indeed will serve as a source of inspiration for young people especially those who have forlorn hope of achieving their dreams.
Ojo-Lanre has made an indelible mark as a successful journalist as he rose to become the number one journalist in Oyo State. From there, he was appointed as the Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Segun Oni in Ekiti and also served as the Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Kayode Fayemi before his recent call to the Bar as a qualified legal practitioner. Considering the age at which he achieved this, there should be no excuse for the younger generation to stay focused and be committed to pursuing whatever they want to achieve.” Hon. Ige enthused.
Hon. Ige prayed to God Almighty to continue to guide him as he continues to be a role model for the young people.
