The Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery has extended the sale of the Basic Midwifery Form within four weeks after the initial deadline of 20 March 2024.
This was made known by the Provost of the College Dr Gbonjubola Owolabi.
She emphasised that the extension’s main aim is to give prospective students who might still be interested in obtaining the form more time.
The provost further stated that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) is now scheduled for April 22-24, while the interview dates are May 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
She reiterated that the public should not provide personal or financial information to any unofficial source claiming to be associated with the college because she would never request sensitive information through unofficial channels.
The provost charged interested candidates to take advantage of the extended period and visit the office of the registrar or ICT centre of the college for further inquiry.
She said “Admission into Basic Nursing is now through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and noted that the College will not compromise her standard as admission would strictly be based on merit.
“Post UTME form would be available at the college after the release of results for those who attained the cut-off mark of 200 and above in their exam”.
She added that the admission process for the Community Nursing and Community Midwifery program has commenced and that candidates will be shortlisted from their local government areas.
She commended His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde for paying the full fees of all the candidates recommended for the program from all the 33 Local Government Areas and LCDAs.
