As Muslim faithful in Oyo State and Nigeria join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitri, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (aka Allow Alao), has enjoined Muslim Ummah and Nigerians, in general, to embrace peace and tolerance among themselves.

Alao in a Sallah message by his Media Office, while congratulating Muslims on completing this demanding spiritual obligation, thanked Almighty Allah (SWT) for the grace to witness this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebration after the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He enjoined Muslims to live in love, compassion and sacrifice which are major demands of Allah from all Muslim Ummah, urging them to imbibe and practise the virtues that entail kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighbourliness, compassion as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).

The Asiwaju of Irokoland who charged Nigerians to have faith in the renew hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, maintained that the present administration of the former governor of Lagos State has all it takes to make life better for all Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion.

According to him, the Tinubu-led administration cannot do it alone but with the support of all Nigerians, stating that it is important for Nigerians to love one another and the reason while traders in the country need to reduce the price of their commodities most especially with the naira gaining in value against the dollar and other foreign currencies.

He said, “I want to sincerely congratulate my fellow Muslims in our dear state and all over Nigeria for successfully witnessing the end of this year’s Ramadan fasting period, a period that came with tough spiritual challenges that were designed to strengthen our Iman.

“At the heart of our faith and a major demand on all faithful is the requirement to commit ourselves to wholesome living. This entails love for one another, love for fellow humans regardless of creed, region and ethnicity, love for our state and love for country.

It is important that we continue to live with the spirit of love, peace, sacrifices, holiness and harmony which Ramadan requires and it is important that Nigerians must become better citizens in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammed by supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed.

Alao then prayed that the peace, blessings, and favour of Allah be with everyone, Oyo State and our great nation, Nigeria during this festive season and beyond.
