In continuation of his effort to bridge the digital divide and promote ICT literacy among secondary school students, the replication of the Oke-Bola Comprehensive High School ICT Hub is set to commence today, Friday, August 23, 2024, at Oba Abass Alesinloye Grammar School, eleyele, Ibadan.

This laudable initiative, facilitated by the lawmaker representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo state, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, who is also the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Digital, ICT, and Cybersecurity, is a demonstration of his commitment to leveraging technology for educational advancement.

The gesture is to create a balance in the fair distribution of constituency projects across his federal constituency in Oyo State by ensuring that Ibadan North West Local Government also benefits significantly from this project.

Recall that the lawmaker successfully commissioned a similar ICT hub within Ibadan South West Local Government, which was recently handed over to the Oyo State Government.

The Oke-Bola Comprehensive High School ICT Hub, which served as a model for this replication, has been a focal point of digital excellence, providing students with access to cutting-edge technology and training.

Announcing the commencement of the next phase of the digital ICT hub, Tolu Mustapha, Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs to Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, highlighted that the building blocks of digital literacy are being laid through this initiative, and Hon. Olajide’s dedication to promoting ICT education is evident in his tireless efforts to ensure that students in his constituency are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital age.

Mustapha further revealed that Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide’s leadership has been instrumental in securing funding and resources for these projects, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the future of Nigeria’s youth.

He said the replication of the ICT hub at Oba Abass Alesinloye Grammar School, Eleyele, is expected to benefit over 1,000 students, providing them with access to modern computers, internet facilities and expert training that will not only enhance their digital literacy but also prepare them for careers in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.
