Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has appointed Basorun Akinwale Akinwole as the Local Government Service Commission’s Chairman. He also appointed members for the Commission and additional members for the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing).
Recall that the governor had earlier appointed Alhaji Hashim Atere and Alhaji Abdulrasheed Olokuta as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing).
A statement signed on Monday by the Chief of Staff of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, listed those appointed into the Local Government Service Commission as follows:
- Akinwale Akinwole – Chairman
- Yusuf Ali Akinkunmi – Full Time Member
- Alhaji Oke Taiwo – Full Time Member
- John Abisoye Adisa-Oke – Part Time Member
- Nike Arewa – Part Time Member
The appointment will take effect after their confirmation by the House of Assembly.
The new members of Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing) are Abdu Rahman Agbotomokekere, Amusat Ayyub Agboola, Dawud Afolabi, Latifat Dairo and Mallam Abdusallam Abdullateef.
The appointments are with immediate effect.
The governor, while congratulating the new appointees, urged them to see their appointment as a call to service.
