Oyo Assembly Confirms Wolekanle, Others As LG Service Commission Chairman, Members

The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Hon. Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, along with four others.

The other confirmed members are Yusuff Alli Akinkunmi, Alhaji Taiwo Oke, John Abisoye Adisa, and Mrs. Nike Arewa.

The confirmation followed Hon. Sola Owolabi’s presentation of the screening report, which recommended the nominees’ approval.

The Majority Leader of the Oyo Assembly, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, moved for the report’s adoption, which was unanimously approved by the lawmakers.

Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde had nominated five individuals for the roles on April 28.
