Tiwa Savage's "Private Plane" Demands Ignite Social Media Firestorm, Sean Dampte Throws Shade
Share on WhatsappShare on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Linkedin

The hunt for love has taken a dramatic turn for Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage. Her latest set of “husband requirements” has sent shockwaves and more than a few laughs through the Nigerian entertainment industry.

A recent podcast clip has gone viral, featuring the “Somebody’s Son” crooner detailing her checklist for a prospective partner, which includes a private jet, a yacht, and a complete absence of “baby mama drama.”

While some fans have rushed to her defense, arguing that a woman of her status can set whatever standards she pleases, many in the online community have called her demands “unrealistic” and “out of touch.”

But the real twist in the saga came from an unexpected corner: fellow artist Sean Dampte. Dampte, known for his witty social media presence, couldn’t resist a well-aimed jab at the singer’s lofty expectations in a post that has since been shared thousands of times. He wrote, “Tiwa Savage say she is looking for somebody’s son to love her! Please, someone, tell her! She is looking for somebody’s grandfather.”

Dampte‘s comment has sparked a new wave of gossip, with many speculating about the underlying motive for his public dig. While the two artists have never been known to have a public feud, industry insiders are whispering that the shade might be more than just a playful joke.

This isn’t a random comment,” said one music industry source who wished to remain anonymous. “Dampte is well-connected. He knows what’s going on behind the scenes. This is his way of saying that Tiwa’s list is so exclusive, it narrows the field down to a very specific type of older, established man, the kind she might have had to deal with in the past.”

The remark has also opened up old wounds and reignited public discussions about Tiwa Savage’s past relationships. Fans are now digging into her dating history, with many pointing out her rumoured romance with Wizkid and her tumultuous marriage to Teebillz. The consensus? That her demand for “no baby mama drama” is a direct reference to her own past experiences and a clear signal that she’s looking for a completely different dynamic this time around.

The “private jet” and “yacht” demands, however, have become the main point of contention. Critics argue that such a specific list of assets commodifies love and makes it a transaction rather than a genuine connection. On the other hand, Savage’s supporters say she’s simply being honest about the type of lifestyle she’s used to and doesn’t want a partner who can’t keep up.

Regardless of the intent, the clash between Tiwa’s high-stakes wish list and Dampte’s public mockery has created a new, juicy chapter in the ongoing celebrity gossip wars. As the internet continues to dissect every word, one thing is clear: the search for Mr. Right just got a whole lot more interesting
