The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, sustained his statewide consultations on Saturday. He met with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders and stakeholders across the Oke-Ogun geopolitical zone ahead of the 2027 election.
The consultation covered all ten local government areas in the zone. Held in two strategic locations, it drew party executives and grassroots mobilisers who reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s future.
Strategic Engagements in Iseyin
The first leg took place in Iseyin. Leaders from Oke-Ogun Zone One converged under former Oyo State PDP Chairman, Alh. Omokunmi Mustafa, and current State Chairman, Chief Dayo Ogungbenro. The meeting hosted stakeholders from Iseyin, Kajola, Itesiwaju, and Iwajowa.
Addressing the gathering, Alh Omokunmi Mustafa and Chief Dayo Ogungbenro commended the Speaker’s leadership. They described his ambition as a progressive step toward consolidating current achievements. The leaders stated:
“They emphasised the need for unity within the party while assuring the Speaker of their readiness to mobilise support across the zone.”

The second consultation was held at Isale Taba in Saki West. This session brought together Oke-Ogun political leaders from Zone Two, including Irepo, Oorelope, Olorunsogo, Atisbo, Saki West, and Saki East.
Prominent figures included Hon. Raifu Adekunle and the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebisi. Other stalwarts like Alh. Mudasiru Eruobodo and Kazeem Olayanju also attended to show their support.
