Armed with a formidable political pedigree and a vision centred on “Party Supremacy,” seasoned politician Samson Opeyemi Fatola has officially stepped forward. Known widely as “Te s’oju e,” he has declared his candidacy for the House of Representatives, representing the Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency.
Ibadan Southwest / Northwest: A Bold Move for Party Supremacy
In a move that redefines the local political landscape, Fatola announced his intention to run on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He aligns his vision with the nationally recognised leadership of the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Fatola is no newcomer. He is a veteran of the 2015 and 2023 electoral cycles. He enters this race as a tested leader. He is committed to “giving back to the community that has long sustained him.” His declaration serves as a clarion call for a return to institutional order. He cites the March 2026 National Convention in Abuja as the definitive roadmap for the party’s future.
The “Te s’oju e” Movement
”This is a movement for the people, by the people,” Fatola declared. “My alignment is with the legally constituted structures of our great party. We are moving away from the era of individual supremacy toward a future of true party supremacy. Our people deserve representation that is responsible, appropriate, and, above all, accountable to the collective will.”
Fatola’s campaign rests on the bedrock of “Service to Humanity.” He emphasised a transparent primary process. He also rejects dictatorial tendencies within the political space. Following his strong showing in the 2023 Oyo State House of Assembly primaries, Fatola now leverages deep-rooted grassroots support. He aims to bridge the gap between governance and the constituents of Ibadan.
As the momentum builds for the forthcoming primary exercise, the “Te s’oju e” movement invites all stakeholders to join. It is a vision where power truly returns to the people.
