As the Catholic faithful and other Christians around the world continue to pray for Pope Frances, who was hospitalised within the week after he became sick with double-lung pneumonia, there are also speculations about his possible successor.

The 88-year-old head of the Vatican is reported to be recovering but a list of possible Cardinals who might succeed him is circulating online.

Pope Francis on Wednesday reportedly confided in his aides that he fears he “might not make it this time” as he struggles with double-lung pneumonia, The Times of India reported.

According to the New York Post, here the list of eight Cardinals who might become Pope.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin: He is 70 years old and he is native of Italy, and was made a cardinal in 2014 by Pope Francis.
