National Archives Staff, Family Members Celebrate Adeoye As She Retires In Style

The retirement ceremony for Mrs. Omolola Taiwo Adeoye, a conscientious and devoted worker and reasonable and considerate leader who served as the former Head of the National Archives at the Ibadan zonal office, will remain in the memories of staff, family, friends, and many others who were present at the occasion.

The event, which was held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, started with praises at the new head of department’s office, Mr. Olawale Idris Ogundipe, who hosted the former head, accompanied by members of the welfare planning committee.

In his words, Ogundipe lauded the former head, Adeoye, for her good deeds during her administration and promised to follow in her legacy.

In her response, Adeoye thanked the new head, Olawale Ogundipe, for his cooperation and support when he was her deputy and prayed for his successful tenure in office.

Thereafter, the chief host, Mr. Ogundipe, led them to the hall to kick off the programme.

Mr. Abiodun Adekoya said the opening prayer, which was followed by the introduction of guests by the fast-rising comedian and master of ceremonies, Mr. Kunle Bademosi.

The new head, Mr. Olawale Ogundipe, who was also the chief host of the occasion, delivered the keynote address.

Ogundipe thanked all the guests and staff present and lauded the former head, Adeoye, for her positive impact on the staff’s lives and the office’s rapid development.

Meanwhile, in the tributes, the Ibadan zonal office of the national archives staff, families and friends hailed the former head, Mrs Adeoye, for the good legacies she had left for the new head, Mr. Ogundipe and the staff of the Ibadan national archives to follow.

Pamilerin, her seven-year-old grandson, was also present. He complimented his grandma and prayed for her long life.

In her response, Mrs Omolola Taiwo Adeoye could not hide her joy at the celebration and the compliments. She thanked everyone present and prayed they would receive similar blessings when they retired.

Thereafter, the citation was read, and the presentation of gifts was coordinated by the chairman, planning committee, Mrs Yewande Omotade, who later invited the members of the planning committee to present their gift to the former head, Mrs Omolola Taiwo Adeoye and a toast was performed by a master of ceremonies, Kunle Bademosi.

During an interview with Apreel1 Events TV, the husband, Deacon Aderemi Adeoye, stated that he had removed his wife from the federal civil service. At the same time, the children, friends, and family lauded the former head.

On a final note, the former head, Adeoye, during her vote of thanks with Apreel1 Events TV, thanked the Director, National Archives, Mrs Evelyn Odigboh, for the belief and trust she had in her to head the Ibadan zonal office, all staff of the national archives, family members, and all guests.

The new head of department said the closing prayer, Mr. Olawale Ogundipe.

Kunle Bademosi anchored the event, which was covered by Apreel1 Events TV.
