Tinubu declares support for Oyebanji

Sometimes, silence is louder than a thousand words, and a single photograph can silence a thousand tongues. Such is the power of the now-viral image of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu flanked by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State, former Governor Engr. Segun Oni, and Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele. The gathering, which took place in the calm of the night, is more than a casual photo-op — it is a message, a declaration, and a warning, all wrapped into one.

Recently, Ekiti streets bore posters allegedly promoting Chief Segun Oni for the 2026 governorship race. The former governor quickly distanced himself from the campaign materials, denouncing them as mischievous and unauthorized. Even before the dust of that political mischief could settle, this photograph surfaced. And what a powerful political symbolism it conveys!

The image speaks volumes. President Tinubu at the centre, firm and smiling; Governor Oyebanji, glowing with the unmistakable aura of confidence; Senate Leader Bamidele, the political backbone of Ekiti at the federal level; and Segun Oni, the man supposedly being pitched as a rival, now shaking hands in camaraderie. What more clarification do the rumour merchants need?

There have been whispers and speculative insinuations suggesting that the Presidency or the Federal Government may be supporting another candidate against Governor Oyebanji. Some even cited Tinubu’s famed political pragmatism as evidence that he could play “the Lagos game” in Ekiti. But this picture says otherwise. It is not just a snapshot — it is a political compass, a directional sign that BAT has no other candidate in Ekiti than BAO.

This is a bold statement. This is a rebuke to all rumour peddlers and mischief-makers who have tried to sow seeds of discord within the Ekiti APC. This is a tactical endorsement. It is a symbolic embrace — from President Tinubu, from the Senate Leader, from a reconciled Segun Oni — rallying behind Oyebanji.

More importantly, this is a clarion call to all APC loyalists in Ekiti. The message is simple: BOW FOR BAO. Support BAO. Stand with BAO. Join the unstoppable train of advancement and continuity led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Anyone nursing a gubernatorial ambition under the APC in Ekiti should, by this photograph alone, know that the political sky is already telling the story. This image is not just a still — it is movement. It is progress. It is unity.

Let there be no more confusion. BAT is with BAO. The Senate Leader ,Senator Opeyemi Bamidele is with BAO. Segun Oni has aligned in peace.Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo is with BAO . Dr Kayode Fayemi is with BAO . Dr Ayodele Fayose is with BAO . Prince Adedayo Adeyeye is with BAO.
Ekiti must now speak with one voice. Let every hand rise in support of Oyebanji’s second term — for unity, continuity, and sustained development.

One photograph. One message. One direction. Forward with BAO!
