Bimbo Adekanmbi Ibadan Tour Arrives in Stronghold
The visit forms part of an ongoing statewide thank-you tour embarked upon by the Adekanmbi/Salawu campaign team. The tour follows their successful emergence as the party’s governorship and deputy governorship candidates for the next general elections. This specific stop on the Bimbo Adekanmbi Ibadan tour aims to appreciate party faithful for their support during the nomination process while consolidating internal unity and party mobilisation across the state.
Ahead of the delegation’s arrival, Olajide Odidiomo described the visit as a significant milestone for the party. Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, the lawmaker stated that the event demonstrates a commitment to sustainable party growth. He noted that the initiative reflects a resolve to expand the footprint of the Allied Peoples Movement Oyo State structure through continuous consultation and inclusive leadership.
Lawmaker Emphasises Grassroots Engagement
The federal lawmaker emphasized that selecting his constituency for the tour underscores its strategic value to the party. According to Olajide Odidiomo, the area remains central to the stability and overall progress of the political platform in the state. He indicated that the gathering offers an opportunity for local stakeholders to engage directly with the gubernatorial flagbearer.
The interaction intends to provide an open channel for party members to exchange operational ideas and reinforce their commitment to building a formidable political platform.
Representatives plan to discuss local priorities ahead of the broader campaign cycles for the Oyo 2027 general election.
Olajide stated: “We are delighted to welcome our governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his deputy, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, to Ibadan North-west and Ibadan South-west federal constituency. Their visit is not only a demonstration of appreciation to party members but also an expression of the leadership’s commitment to inclusive consultation and grassroots participation as we prepare for the 2027 general election,” Olajide said.
Internal Party Structures Mobilise Ahead of Polls
As logistics wrap up, local organisers report high mobilization levels within the municipal wards. The lawmaker issued a call to action for all ward executives, youth leaders, women’s wings, and general supporters within the federal constituency to attend the reception in large numbers.
He described the upcoming event as a vital administrative opportunity to strengthen structural bonds among members. The outcome of the Ibadan meeting will help shape subsequent coordination plans for the Allied Peoples Movement Oyo State chapter as it prepares for future electoral contests.
