All is set for members of the Unity Schools Old Students’ Association of Nigeria (USOSAN) as they gather in Ibadan, Oyo State, to participate in an energising Fitness Walk scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, 2026.
This inaugural exercise offers a deliberate platform for former students residing across the city of brown roofs to bond, step out in unison, and prioritize their physical well-being.
The event reflects a growing commitment among alumni groups to foster personal health alongside professional networking. Organisers have designed the gathering to be an engaging blend of activity and instruction, ensuring that participants gain valuable wellness strategies while renewing historic friendships.
USOSAN Ibadan Health Event Focuses on Long-Term Wellness
Speaking on behalf of the association, Dr Chisom Fajimi highlighted that the planned health programme will see members enjoying a fun-filled morning of aerobics, health walk, health talk and wellness tips. The routine aims to encourage active living among adults whose daily schedules often leave limited time for routine physical exercise.
According to Dr Fajimi, “we organised the fitness walk as part of our plans to ensure that our members are in top conditions of health. We believe that it is good for us to take positive steps towards a healthier lifestyle.”
The proactive initiative addresses the critical need for regular exercise in preventing lifestyle-related ailments. By creating a shared environment for physical activity, the association hopes to make exercise an enjoyable, long-term habit for its network.
Anticipation Builds for Unity Schools Old Students’ Association
Expectations are high as alumni across various graduating sets prepare for the weekend gathering. Many members have expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to step away from routine work and connect with old schoolmates in an atmosphere dedicated to personal care and group solidarity.
“We are also glad that all our members are enthusiastically awaiting the day,” Dr Fajimi added, noting the strong positive response received from regional representatives and local chapters.
Ibadan Recreation Club Sabo Set as Event Assembly Point
To maintain order and ensure a smooth operational flow, the association has finalized all logistics for the gathering. Dr Fajimi informed that all members are to report to the Ibadan Recreation Club, Sabo by 8.00a.m.
Participant safety and convenience remain central to the planning strategy. Adequate measures have been integrated to handle traffic flow, provide emergency assistance, and ensure the entire routine proceeds without disruption.
“We have already concluded plans to ensure the success of our programme. There is security, health care service officials will be with us, our route-map is ready too. Dress code is white T-shirt on Blue/Black Jeans,” Dr Fajimi confirmed.
Supporting the Movement Beyond the Fitness Walk
Beyond physical activity, the event serves as a platform to strengthen community support structures within the alumni network. Voluntary contributions raised during the session will go towards sustaining future welfare initiatives and institutional projects backed by the group.
“In addition, of course, we will accept donations from members of and friends of the association to make the programme more memorable,” Dr Fajimi concluded.
With logistics secured, security personnel deployed, and medical teams stationed along the designated route, the association stands ready to deliver an impactful morning dedicated to fitness, fellowship, and long-term health awareness.
