#EdoDecides2020: Official Results From 13 Local Governments

The Governorship Election in Edo State is seen as a straight contest between the incumbent Governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressive Congress (APC), though a total of 14 parties took part in the elections.

Elections were held in all the 2,627 polling units in the 18 local government areas of the state.

INEC moves results to Form EC8D

The Returning Officer for the Edo State governorship election, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Ruke said the results of 13 out 18 local government areas would be moved to Form EC8D, pending the arrival of the results from the remaining LGs.

Over voting reported in Etsako West LGA

In Etsako West, over-voting was reported at the INEC state collation centre. The PDP agent has called for the cancellation of the election there.
