The President General of a pan Yoruba Group, Yoruba Youth Forum (YYF), Comrade Abiodun Bolarinwa has insisted that Sunday Adeyemo known as Sunday Igboho told him he would drop his agitation for the Yoruba nation in return for freedom when he visited him in Prison in Cotonou.

Comrade Bolarinwa while reacting to Olayomi Koiki’s video and a statement by Igboho’s lawyer, Yomi Aliu that Igboho didn’t ask anybody to plead with the Federal Government to grant him amnesty in return for freedom is not true.

Comrade Bolarinwa who described the rebuttal by Olayomi Koiki and Yomi Aliu as laughable said that none of the two was present at the prison at Cotonou when he visited Igboho and could not in any way speak for him.

“It came to me as a surprise when I heard that the self-acclaimed spokesman of Igboho, Olayomi Koiki claimed that Igboho never talked to me regarding dropping his agitation for his freedom.  I believe Koiki is only speaking for himself because he no longer speaks for Igboho.  Koiki since joining Igboho’s camp has been a liability rather than an asset. This is a morally bankrupt youth that even sold  out Igboho.”

Speaking further, Comrade Bolarinwa stated that the statement by Igboho’s lawyer, Yomi Aliu, who didn’t mention his name directly but referred to him as a retired security officer is also very unfortunate.

Igboho’s wife and some of his family members are aware of my meeting with him at Cotonou prison. I also have witnesses who were there that day when I  visited him in Cotonou prison.  It is just very unfortunate that we were not allowed to bring in phone, but I have witnessed and I have recorded phone conversation to support my claims.”
