A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has congratulated High Chief Lekan Balogun, on his confirmation as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Governor Seyi Makinde had on Monday, announced the confirmation of High Chief Balogun, following the recommendation by the Olubadan-in-Council.

Alao in a statement issued by his Media Office said it is a welcome development and victory for all Ibadan people, stating that it validates the cherished tradition of the Ibadan traditional system.

According to him, the pedigree of the new Olubadan as a university scholar, administrator, businessman and politician put him in good stead to step into the position of his forefathers, noting that climbing the traditional ladder for over four decades, High Chief Balogun, had garnered the requisite experience to be the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.
