Nigeria, the most populated black nation in the world, is presently challenged by undemocratic policies, insecurities, social unrest and severe economic instabilities, which has resulted to the need for an urgent social reengineering as regards the quest to save the country from the brick of destruction.
Amb. Makinde Akinlabi Dada, the national coordinator of Let’s Fix Nigeria with Atiku, in an interactive session with Team Report Africa on Thursday, has revealed that the unfavourable state of the country is as a result of lack of clear political and economic ideology workable for Nigeria and Nigerians and coupled with the absence of people-centred and visionary leadership structure.
According to him, “The deteriorating situation of democracy in Nigeria is caused by several factors, ranging from bad leadership system, unfavourable political structure and bad management, making development and growth not attainable in the face of abundances.
“This is the time we urge Nigerians, as a sociopolitical group and movement, to properly evaluate the personalities and contributions of any aspiring leader before consideration. The emergence of Let’s Fix Nigeria with Atiku is breathed with the need to save Nigeria from the hand of destruction.
“We decide to stay with Alhaji Abubakar Atiku because of his contribution in the defence of democracy and his selfless love to the masses that he exhibited in and out of office. We challenge Nigerians to properly evaluate his personality in reference to his humanitarian adventure as a politician and leader, especially during his time as vice president during the His Excellency Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime.”
