NIGERIAN former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonatha, has stressed the need for a united Nigeria.
Jonathan met with President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, and had a closed-door meeting with him.
After the meeting, Jonathan told State House journalists that a united Nigeria was needed, disclosing that he and other stakeholders in the Niger Delta were working to ensure peace in the region.
According to him, “I have always said that when there is no peace, there cannot be development anywhere. We are great not because of our oil, but because our size and diversity.”
Jonathan said at an appropriate time, he would talk about the fight against corruption in the country when the cases in court might have been resolved.
He said he was at the State House to inform President Buhari about his appointment by the AU to lead the election observers to Zambia.
