The Guild of Tourism Journalists (GTJ) in Nigeria has felicitated Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre on Governor Abiodun Oyebanji’s appointment of him as the pioneer Director-General of the Ekiti State Tourism Development Bureau.

Ojo-Lanre, whose appointment was announced last week served as Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Tourism Development.

The widely travelled and experienced tourism journalist is also one of the association’s residents, under whom the GTJ partners with several states, FG, and private establishments to promote tourism in their respective domains.

In a press statement signed by the association’s organising secretary, Mr Oladoye Oluremi, GTJ said Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre’s appointment would enhance tourism development and attract more opportunities to the state.

“We thank His Excellency Gov Biodun Oyebanjo for considering Ojo-Lanre worthy of the appointment, and we are confident that he will not betray the confidence reposed in him.
