The sale of Basic Midwifery Forms to prospective students hoping to be admitted has begun at Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery.
This was made known in a statement released by the Provost of the College, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi, who emphasized that the form is meant for students keen on advancing their careers in nursing.
She stated that Basic Midwifery is a three-year program that would commence in March 2024, after which candidates would be presented to both the College and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) for final qualifying examinations to qualify as midwives and also to be eligible for registration with the NMCN as Registered Midwife (RM).
Dr. Owolabi reiterated that it is an opportunity for individuals passionate about nursing to take a significant step towards realizing their career aspirations.
The Provost charged interested candidates to follow the online application process through the college website or contact the office of the Registrar or the ICT centre of the College for further inquiries.
Dr. Owolabi noted that payment should not be made through any individual/agent or personal bank account aside from the college website, through which the application form fee is expected.
