The Director of Relief and Rehabilitation in the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mustapha Umar, who disclosed this, said many houses and farmlands were submerged in the areas.

He said about 1,700 people were affected in Gada LGA, with about 600 hectares of farmland submerged, adding that many farm animals and foodstuffs were lost in the area.
