The Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen in Islam Worldwide, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP, has warned Nigerians against fire disasters while also calling on the political class to imbibe the culture of tolerance and focus on giving back to the masses. He urged religious leaders to imbibe the culture of religious harmony to promote peace and be more dedicated to God.

The Islamic cleric who gave the charge noted in his 2023 prophecies made available to newsmen that “good governance is a function of godly leadership” (Q38 vs 26), and bad governance is a dividend of bad leadership (Daniel 5 vs 25-28).

“Therefore, divine revelations are predicted for proactive measures in management, administration and rebranding for proper socialisation.

“Correct cultural and ethical value orientation for promoting integrity and discipline for all must therefore be put in place to allow divine intervention in revamping our economy. To promote healthy and stable policy, the principle of equity is very much needed too in practice,” he said.

Olagoke revealed that one of the agitators would threaten secession in the New Year but that the bid would fail if proactive measures were taken.

The cleric assured that the 2023 general elections will be held despite security challenges and that the presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stands a better chance of emerging victorious in the elections.

He said that the chances of the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, might be hindered by the internal crisis in the party, while the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi may suffer from the antecedents of the suspicious movement of his tribe; the Igbos.

He added that Rabiu Kwakwanso’s preparation as the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is not enough to give him the desired acceptability.

He also predicted that specific incidents within the polity, such as cross-carpeting and blackmailing, will lead to the fall of some politicians.

According to him, the bad economy and brain drain syndrome would be addressed in the New Year. However, he called for prayers against another stalemate in the country’s education sector.

He stated that insecurity would be detected and addressed, religious activities would be shaken up, and sports would receive a favourable boost.

“Shake-up is imminent in the Aviation industry; there is a need to guide against road accidents and breakdown of vehicles on our roads and, prevent fire outbreaks in many government offices,” he said.

Olagoke’s monthly analysis of events in 2023 is as stated below.

January: Political parties’ viability will vary in strength with people cross-carpeting over the 2023 General Elections.

Economy diversification will be a preferred alternative to augmenting the dwindling mainstay of the economy, the oil sector.

Education plight shall be cautiously visited while security issues shall be equally addressed.

Value erosion will occur in the religious sector. Pray against setbacks in sports, air crashes, and fire outbreaks.

February: As political parties compete for victory in the General Elections, the air will be filled with campaign promises. Clustering of political activities shall be rife.

There is rising hope for the people and a juicy period for the voters indeed. Pray against fire outbreaks in the transport and power sectors.

March: There will be futile attempts to create states. Attention will focus on the people’s safety and security needs. It’s a favourable month for sports and religious rejuvenation, but we need to pray against the fire outbreak.

April: Due to a boost in the economy and investment, cross-carpeting from the various political parties will occur into the ruling party. Surveillance networks will be high, and efforts will be made to improve the quality and standard of education.

Resolving stability challenges in sporting activities in the country is necessary. The government must be called to attention on road rehabilitation, and we must guide against fire outbreaks.

May: A month that is a favourite month to boost the economy. There shall be a weeding exercise in the education sector, and an adequate security network. However, some religious houses shall experience turbulence. Some Nigerian sportsmen and women shall be promoted to international stardom and professional recognition. Pray against fire outbreaks in the energy sector.

June: There shall be religious devaluation and resuscitation of the nation’s economy. There shall be a success in security surveillance. Avoid stalemate in education administration and work against deceptive state of affairs in sports administration. Some roads shall be rehabilitated.

July: A favourite month for a sensitisation exercise in the socio-political, education, and economic sectors. Pray against sudden death in religious circles. Be sensitive enough to avoid fire outbreaks.

August: A month of orderliness for the political, economic, education, and security sectors. But avoid religious bigotry not to divide the nation. Be safety conscious to prevent fire outbreaks.

September: The security network will be effective. Work on education, economic, and political stability. Profanity and sharp practices in some religious houses will lead to their collapse. Be safety conscious to avoid fire outbreaks.

October: Policies to boost the economy, education, sports, and security must be made and complemented to check political excesses in government activities. Be safety conscious to avoid fire incidents.

November: Guide against sabotage in political administration and governance for government sub-systems and machinery of operation to function well

Security concerns shall make a breakthrough. Pray against air mishaps and road accidents in this month.

December: Politicians need to guide against hate speech and overtures that may lead to killings. It is a favourable month for the economy, education and security to fare well. The religious sector may experience sharp practices by adherents and leaders. An unstable state of sporting activities shall be experienced. Guide against fire outbreak.
