The three senatorial candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, who won the last general election, held a closed-door strategic meeting in Ibadan on Sunday.
Chief Bisi Ilaka of Oyo Central Senatorial District, Mogaji Josep Tegbe of Oyo South, and Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, better known as Wolekanle, attended the meeting at Bodija.
While the specific details of the meeting were not disclosed, it was gathered that the trio used the opportunity to allay their supporters’ fears and urge them to remain calm, be more committed and renew their dedication to the party.
It was exclusively gathered that some of their supporters are angry because they were not considered for any elective post during the local government election or appointments at the state level of local government.
