THE entrepreneurial ability and sagacity of a popular fish magnate in Nigeria, Kolawole Adeleye, popularly called Kola Eleja, has earned him the African Excellent Entrepreneur Man of the Year, an award from the prestigious African Indigenous Entrepreneurs Foundation (AIEF).

With a sprawling complex in Oke Ado Market in Ibadan, sharing a fence with the defunct Savannah Bank, Kola Eleja has several massive fish farms, spread all over the country. He has over 45 selling offices in Oyo State alone, with outfits in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ilorin, while he has over 386 Nigerians in his payroll, whom he refused not to pay as and when due.

According to one of his staff, who simply referred to himself as Adelekan, Kola Eleja is said to believe that workers pay must be paid before the sweats on their faces ever stroll out.

It is of note that Kola Eleja is not only into fish merchandizing, he has also veered into Hospitality sector, planting hotels in Ibadan, Dubai and a lounge in London, which has enlisted his Letter of Investiture in the Archive of Achievers. He would be formally decorated as a member in a date to be announced

It was also gathered that Kola Eleja, who changed his name to Kola Eleja to proudly associate with his trade has also raised up several men and women, having taught them fish farming, selling and trading.
