Namibia is set to become the epicenter of global investment and economic development as it prepares to host the 10th Anniversary International Economic Development & Investment Business Summit and International Honours Awards, organised by the Leaders Without Borders Development Centre (LWBDC). The prestigious event will take place on October 24-25, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel in Windhoek.

The summit, themed “Eliminating Intra-African Trade Barriers: Strengthening Policy Reforms and Strategic Execution Models for Africa’s Economic Growth,” will bring together over 250 international business leaders, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs from more than 65 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.

According to a release by Ambassador Wiseman Anyala, Director and Representative of the Namibia Leaders Without Borders Development Centre, the two-day event promises a dynamic program, featuring keynote sessions, panel discussions, business pitches, and networking forums designed to foster cross-border trade, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

A highlight of the summit will be the International Honors Awards, which will recognize the Top 50 Emerging Businesses in Africa. These awards will celebrate excellence and innovation across a wide range of industries, including infrastructure, healthcare, technology, mining, renewable energy, and agriculture.

The summit boasts an impressive roster of high-level attendees and speakers. Confirmed participants include: H.E. Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, Former President of Namibia; Hon. Gaudentia Krohne, Deputy Minister of Mines & Energy, Namibia; H.E. Dr. Fahed Al Merhebi, Chairman and President of Zurich Capital Funds; Dr. Olasupo Olusi, CEO of Bank of Industry (Nigeria), and Ekaterine Maisuradze, President of Georgia & Asia-Africa Chamber of Commerce.

The event will also feature a host of distinguished business leaders, technocrats, and global investors.

Over the past decade, the LWBDC has established itself as a leading platform for driving international investment and fostering leadership collaboration, hosting high-level gatherings in cities like London and Dubai. Bringing this milestone edition to Namibia represents a unique opportunity to showcase the country’s significant business potential, investment opportunities, and welcoming hospitality to a global audience.

Namibia was strategically selected as the host nation due to its stable economy, investor-friendly policies, and burgeoning role as a regional hub for green hydrogen, mining, logistics, and tourism. This positions Namibia as a gateway for cross-border trade and innovation in Southern Africa.

The LWBDC invites Namibian corporations, government agencies, MSMEs, and international partners to participate in this landmark summit. Corporate packages are available and include sponsorship opportunities, exhibition stalls, speaking slots, branding, and VIP networking access.
