Famous cleric Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke has urged President Bola Hamed Tinubu to stick with his plans to appoint trustworthy and obedient leaders who will lead the nation and its people to the desired promised land.

The Eid ‘l Kabir Message, which he personally signed and distributed to journalists in Ibadan, contained this information.

In addition to urging politicians to avoid political games, the press release, “Insicion or Injection for Sanity Restoration,” urged the President Tinubu-led administration to close the enormous pay gaps between political officeholders and civil servants.

“Let us stop political frivolities but bridge the wide gap in the salary structure differentials of the civil servants and their political allies to remove the foundation of the evils which have been befalling us as a Nation without marginalising people with disabilities (PWDs), Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and women’s minimum benchmark of 35 per cent affirmative action in the scheme of building a better Nigeria.”

“This new government can not afford to fail on the All Progressives Congress (APC) change concept of eradicating corruption and institutional indiscipline”

Prof. Olagoke, a Mogaji Ogun Elu, Aare Alasa dynasty warrior, praised the President Tinubu-led government for taking a proactive step when discussing the recently removed fuel subsidy. Still, he quickly added that the government must devise commensurate palliative measures to effectively alleviate poverty.

He further stated that the next administration should prosecute offenders without regard to the persons involved.

“Policy and palliatives must focus on poverty alleviation, system regulation, and control of functional democracy for peace and sustainable development to be realised”

The monk argued that functional education should receive appropriate attention while prioritising the 14 million children who are not in school to highlight the importance of nurturing children and young people to leave a lasting legacy.

He said that the government must monitor the free market to ensure their well-being rather than subject the populace to abject poverty.

Prof. Olagoke continued by urging consumers to support locally produced items to boost the nation’s economy and demand a rise in the GDP.
