Sedabuk Oil and Gas Industrial Ltd has rewarded its employees with cash prizes worth over N10 million at its 2025 Employee Recognition and Awards ceremony held in Lagos.

Over 300 members of staff and management officials from the company’s divisions and subsidiaries attended the event, which celebrated excellence, dedication, and loyalty.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director, Engr. Adunola Oseni, said staff welfare had remained central to the company’s growth since its establishment in 2018.

She said, “From inception, we made a deliberate decision to put our people first because no organisation can thrive when its workforce is neglected.”

Oseni noted that the company, which operates more than 12 petrol stations across Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo states, had never owed or delayed salaries since it commenced operations.

“Prompt payment of salaries is a mark of respect and responsibility. Since we started operations, we have never owed our staff,” she said.

The managing director added that Sedabuk reviewed and increased salaries twice in 2025, improved wages across all categories, and sustained its seven-year-old One-Day-Meal Programme to ensure employees do not work hungry.

According to her, the cash awards, which cut across retail operations, station-based roles, marts, laundromats, and group-wide excellence categories, were meant to reinforce a culture of appreciation.

“Today is not just about money. It is about recognising hard work and building a culture where excellence is celebrated because a motivated workforce is our most valuable asset,” Oseni said.

She assured employees that the company would roll out stronger welfare packages, improved incentives, and more opportunities in 2026, with the aim of positioning Sedabuk as one of the best organisations to work in Nigeria.

Oseni also urged staff to raise performance levels in the coming year by working harder, smarter, and in unity.

Highlights of the event included the presentation of awards such as Pump Attendant of the Year, Station Captain of the Year, Mart and Laundromat Excellence Awards, and Special Recognition honours.

The Group Chairman’s Spirit of Excellence Award was won by Adediran Segun Aderonke, who emerged as Sedabuk Star of the Year and received a N2m cash prize, while Ibiloye Olayinka won the Most Outstanding Employee of the Year award with N1m.

Sedabuk Oil and Gas Industrial Ltd Group Head reacts

In his remarks, the Group Head, Human Resources and Administration, Mr Adeleye Olusanjo, commended the managing director’s leadership, saying staff welfare remained a top priority.

“Management is already working on more incentives and improved support structures for staff as we move into 2026,” Olusanjo said.

The event was attended by senior executives, including the General Manager, Finance and Strategy, Mr Aderoju Sola; the Group Head, Operations and Logistics, Mr Rufus Enioshunwa; and the Group Head, Corporate Audit, Risk and Ethics, Mrs Tolulope Omotola, among others.
