NCPC Boss Raises Hope Of A Better Nigeria

THE Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Mr Tor Uja, expressed optimism about a better Nigeria, saying in a couple of years it will make clear how great Nigeria is.

Uja, who said this during the courtesy visit of the management of Leadership Newspaper, led by the Group Managing Director of the paper, Dr. Cletus Akwaya, noted that at present, there appeared to be some darkness but the light is about to break forth.

The NCPC boss then called for supports from all the stakeholders of Nigeria, including national, state, local, private and corporate leaders, to support the media industry and to give it attention to enable the Nigerian press express its full potential as the best media in the world, which according to him, they are.

While saying with more support and attention for the Nigerian media, they would be able to remove the remaining mist and darkness in Nigeria commended the Nigerian media, describing it as the best in the world.

His words: “The Nigerian media are the best in the world despite the difficulties of the facilities and funding, there is good quality of the individual journalists and newspapers and other media houses, and that quality has shown in the reporting and interpretation of news, in the features, and also, in the efforts to circulate productions nationwide to ensure access.”

Uja commended the technological development in the Nigerian media industry and the availability of the Nigerian newspapers online, which made it possible for people to read them anywhere in the world.

The NCPC Executive Secretary lauded the management of the Leadership Newspaper, while commending the quality of its production, news quality, and its online presence and coverage, which according to him, is a pride to the industry in Nigeria.

Dr. Akwaya earlier in his speech lauded the clear-cut vision of the Uja-led administration to ensure that the commission discharges its duty accordingly, while ensuring better representation of Nigeria within and beyond the shores of the country.
