Following the February 25thvictory on the polls by the Jamaica Labour Party, Edmund Bartlett has been named the new Minister of Tourism for Jamaica, taking over a position he previously held.

Bartlett, an advertising government and long-standing parliamentarian, is not any stranger to the tourism portfolio, having served as minister of tourism from 2007 to 2011, in addition to opposition spokesman on tourism and extra not too long ago, overseas affairs.

In his greater than three a long time within the Jamaican parliament, he has additionally served as minister of youth and neighbourhood improvement and minister of state for info, broadcasting and tradition.

Born and educated in Jamaica, Bartlett is a graduate of the University of the West Indies.

Bartlett has additionally represented Jamaica regionally and internationally and presently chairs the Board of Affiliate Members of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
