FORMER Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu showed a glimpse of his old self when Arsenal Legends took on Milan Glorie on Saturday in a charity match.

The Gunners fielded Martin Keown, Gilberto Silva and Robert Pires, Marc Overmars whilst the Milan squad included such names as Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta and Zvonimir Boban.

The hosts won the game, veteran Nigerian striker Nwankwo Kanu bagging a hat-trick in a 4-2 victory; Robert Pires netted the fourth, with Christian Vieri grabbing two for Milan.

Despite Kanu being 40-years-old, the striker’s potency in front of goal was something which got Gunners fans excited – given the club’s recent struggles in the striking department.

Arsene Wenger started the season with Chuba Akpom and Yaya Sanogo
