THE Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has said that he doesn’t know how much the commission under him has recouped from national pillagers up until now.
Mr. Magu said this while instructions and reacting to inquiries from Senators amid his screening on Wednesday.
Recall that the Senate again rejected to affirm Magu for the second time as the substantive Chairman of the counter join organization.
This is similarly spin-off of another letter from the Department of State Services, DSS, to the Senate saying Mr. Magu is unfit to head the counter unite office. Most of the Senators, in a well known vote, rejected Magu as EFCC’s manager.

Magu essentially stated, “It is very difficult for me to say.”
Also, Magu was inquired as to why @cenbank Gov who discharged cash to Dasuki is not being explored by the commission.
Representative Sen Isah Misau who asked the before question likewise solicited once more, “is it body language of President Muhammadu Buhari that EFCC uses to fight corruption since people close to the President are not being probed?”
The Senator asked once more, “Dasuki took money illegally and not a single person from the CBN has been investigated or prosecuted so far?
“What is the concept of Finical crime as stipulated in the @officialEFCC act?”
In his reaction, Magu said no non-verbal communication in the battle against debasement. He said the dedication of President Buhari to the battle against defilement is however not in uncertainty.
EFCC has welcomed all who should be welcomed. He stated, once we can expel defilement in Nigeria, there is no reason to worry. He said for example, the previous Petroleum Minister, Deizina Alison Madueke fled to London with her club that propagated the wrongdoing to cheat Nigeria. He said that they are on the run yet he will get them.
Mr. Magu likewise said that EFCC does not battle debasement alone but rather that he knows the Senate battles defilement also. Be that as it may, Magu said he won’t be astonished if whitlseblowers are to take the security operators to his home since he now has a major house.
On the two request of letters from DSS against Magu’s affirmation, Senator Dino Melaye stated: You speak the truth you die, you lie and die, i am going to speak the truth. I love you, I appreciate your sagacity.
“14 of the DSS letter on Magu which says In the light of the foregoing, MAGU has failed the integrity test.”
Senator Dino disclosed to Magu that, “Every nominee before @ngrsenate we do request for screening by DSS, it did not start with you (Magu) and it won’t end with you.”
To this, Magu said two reports were submitted in one day about him and all things considered, that inquiries the uprightness of the DSS also.
“Myself and @dino_melaye have been fighting corruption before he became a Senator,” Magu said.
Be that as it may, Senator Olujimi identified with Magu saying, “Mr Magu, i feel for you, it is clear there are inter-agency problem in Nigeria.”
Senate President, Bukola Saraki said there’s a managerial issue and requested that the agent affirm in the event that he got two letters from DG SSS.
