FG Begs PENGASSAN To Shelve Strike

THE Federal Government, through the Minister of Labor and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, on Sunday, engaged leaders of PENGASSAN, to hold its arranged strike over the sack of specialists by Neconde Energy Services Ltd, starting tomorrow (Monday), in the soul of pacification facilitated amongst it and the organization.

A statement by the Deputy Director, Press in the Federal Ministry of Labor and Employment, Samuel Olowookere stated: “with the mollification by the Honorable Minister of Labor and Employment, the approaching activity by PENGASSAN stands adequately captured in accordance with the arrangements of the important work laws whose forces are put resources into the Honorable Minister.

“We review that the Honorable Minister of Labor and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige had on Wednesday, December 13 and Thursday, December 14, 2017 handled extend periods of time of appeasement amongst PENGASSAN and Neconde Energy Services Ltd and secured an understanding.

“By that understanding, Neconde might welcome the sacked branch director of PENGASSAN and hold genuine dialog with him while PENGASSAN is to keep down proposed activity pending the reconvening of the meeting in the second seven day stretch of January 2018 when other battling issues identifying with other oil organizations would likewise be dealt with.

“We along these lines wish to speak to the Central Working Committee of PENGASSAN to reexamine its choice, regard the assention and cancel the booked activity in the general enthusiasm of the country, all the more so when satisfactory notice of strike was not given. This interest has turned out to be basic keeping in mind the end goal to spare Nigerians from promote hardship in this period of Christmas and the New Year.”

There were signs that Nigeria’s fuel deficiency would compound this week as oil specialists handle Neconde Energy Limited over work issues in the oil business.
