Federal Workers Election: Odebunmi Picks Nomination Form, Promises Quality Leadership

COMRADE Timothy Odebunmi, a chairmanship hopeful in the forthcoming February 8, 2018 election of the executive of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU), FCT Chapter, otherwise known as ‘Federal Workers’ last Wednesday picked nomination form at the Union secretariat, Apo, Abuja.

In a brief address to the teeming supporters of his ‘Team Consolidation’ shortly after collecting the form, Odebunmi who served in the last executive as Vice Chairman said his mission was to consolidate on the string of achievements recorded by the Comrade Amaechi-led executive.

He said Comrade Amaechi has provided good leadership for the union and it behooves on any chairman that takes over from him to continue the good work he has done and consolidate on the good foundation laid by the Amaechi tenure.

“It is my desire to give our great union quality leadership, I promise not to deviate from the good path laid by Comrade Amaechi and I promise to consolidate on his good deeds, explore new grounds that will make the FCT chapter of the NCSU enviable within the labour movements in Nigeria.

“I promise selfless leadership and vow to protect the interest of federal workers through an all-inclusive administration that will involve other executive members.

“I enjoin our members to vote for Team Consolidation, and they will not regret committing the future of the union in our hands”, he said.

Comrade Odebunmi called on contestants for different positions and their supporters to conduct themselves peacefully during campaign and other pre-election activities.

He said, “this is just an election, not a war situation, therefore, we must conduct our campaigns with decorum, avoid hate speeches and at the end accept election results in sportsmanship manner”.
