Ekiti 2018: Group Declares June 12 Fasting and Prayer Rally For Continuity

THE Ekiti Grassroots Movement (EGM), has declared June 12 for prayer-session rally for Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for the July 14 in the state. The eexercise was tagged “Eleka, a Man with God.”

The event, according to the local government coordinator representing the group in Ado Ekiti, Hon. Obiala, was to seek the face of God and destroy every evil orchestration that may work against the victory of the PDP gubernatorial candidate at poll.

Speaking at the general caucus meeting held at Ado Ekiti on Monday, Obiala stated: “We need to seek favour and eternal mercy to enable us reap the dividend of continuity in the state. We also know Olusola will emerge victorious because God has destined him to be the next governor of Ekiti. This is why we must pray fervently for God to crown our efforts.”

The state coordinator of the group, Mr. Adesuyi Alex, and the entire executive members of EGM applauded the initiative and unanimously agreed to commence the rally by 10.am on 12 June, 2018.

Further speaking, Alex encouraged all the 16 local government coordinators of EGM to mobilise all the members of the group in the state to the program to show their solidarity for governor Fayose and his deputy on 12th of June.

Eminent personalities and clergymen expected in attendance include the state governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, and his wife, Feyisetan; Prof. Kolapo Olusola and his running mate, Hon. Kazeem Ayodeji; Pastor (Dr.) Olusola Seyi JP; S.A. Religious Matters, Fahdilat Sheikh and Alhaji Jamiu Kewulere Bello, President League of Imam and Alfas Yoruba, Edo and Delta.

The exercise was slated to kick-start from Ijigbo to Okeyinmi, Okesa and KOCO pavilion respectively.
